Driving Economic Growth

Childcare is economic infrastructure. When families can’t access affordable, high-quality care, parents miss work and employers lose talent. NEEC educates and mobilizes partners across business, government, and philanthropy to remove barriers, advance smart policy, and align resources so quality seats stay open and educators can build sustainable careers. Through community convenings, advocacy training, and locally grounded research, we turn evidence into action — helping parents work, children thrive, and Nashville’s economy grow stronger.

Business Leaders Briefing

In partnership with ThinkTennesse, Vanderbilt University, and The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, NEEC hosted a policy briefing on early childhood education for Nashville business leaders. Attended by Nashville executives, the event highlighted pragmatic, family-focused policies and benefits employers could implement, as well as Incremental policy solutions that the business community can advocate for at the local and state level.
